Join us on Saturday August 1st at 10am SHARP to learn and relax with groovy people in nature.
Mushrooms, plants, and bear cages? Oh my. On this mushroom walk through Franklin Park, we’ll be teaching about the fascinating world of fungi, whose origins built our planet and soil and enrich our health even today. We’ll be starting out at 429 Walnut Ave, Boston, Franklin Park (El Parquecito de la Hermandad) then making our way to the abandoned bear cages and the forested areas at large.
Do not be late because you may not be able to find us :)
Our events are for all ages, stages, and experience levels, so don’t be shy if you’re new to the world of fungi. This forage will be led by our teammate James, whose speciality is telling the bigger picture of how mushrooms build our world (not just identification).
We will have custom Bay Staters Mushroom Note Books available for donation if you want to support our mission of bringing nature and health education to all.
This event is rain or shine. Mushrooms love the rain!
Please wear comfy, close-toed shoes, wear sunscreen, and bring some water.
This event is fun and accessible for all ages (family friendly). Leashed companions allowed!
