Join us on Sunday, July 26th at 2pm SHARP to learn and relax with groovy people in nature.
We’re ecstatic to welcome you to another mushroom walk at one of our region’s legendary areas, purgatory chasm. This will be the second walk we have hosted here, and last time the fungi were overflowing and the times were unforgettable. People of all ages and experiences levels are welcome to join us at the parking lot.
Do not be late because you may not be able to find us after we embark!
We are meeting at the visitor’s center (Google map here) by the parking lot!
Our events are for all ages, stages, and experience levels, so don’t be shy if you’re new to the world of fungi. This forage will be led by our teammate James, whose speciality is telling the bigger picture of how mushrooms build our world (not just identification) and Christina, who volunteers and leads walks with the Greater Worcester Land Trust.
We will have custom Bay Staters Mushroom Note Books available for donation if you want to support our mission of bringing nature and health education to all.
This event is rain or shine. Mushrooms love the rain!
Please wear comfy, close-toed shoes, wear sunscreen, and bring some water.
This event is fun and accessible for all ages (family friendly). Leashed companions allowed!
If you have a disability, we will happily accommodate you: team@baystatersnm.com
We cannot condone removing or disturbing fungi or plants because this is a common rule in many public areas.
Please feel free to sign up here for more updates and to be added to the google calendar event.
