Although the designers set the tone for the season, fashion and style are up to the individual. If you put it on and you feel good in it, then chances are you’ll look great. Now this is more of a frequently asked question that has no frequently answered answer. People have always wondered why most male fashion designers behave like women. They seem to be so comfortable dressing up sexy women without becoming erotic. Just imagine the kind of nude models a male fashion designer will have to encounter every day. All though it is a part of the job, the experience is a little quirky, especially for men. How do they manage to do it?

This article is a frank assessment of male fashion designers. Although people may have impressions about male fashion designers, it must be said that most impressions are wrong. Most male fashion designers are through professionals who are driven by creative pursuits.

There is no way a male fashion designer could survive if he indulges in sexual abuse. Fashion is a multi-billion dollar enterprise. And most participants in fashion shows need to be as professional as professional can be. There is absolutely no time to entertain small thoughts of lust over a female body. Even if it happens, male fashion designers might use to fantasize erotic and exotic creations for these models. Any thought that comes to their mind is used for a constructive activity.

Now as to why male fashion designers act like women. Not all male fashion designers act like women. And not all male fashion designers are gay. When male fashion designers design clothes for women, they need to kick-in some feminity into their system. If they think like a man, there’s no way they are going to perceive beautiful creations and subtle colors that only the female mind detects.

3 Common Fashion Myths

There are fashion myths out there that we have all heard. Some of them are so prevalent that they may even seem like more than myths.

Sometimes, these fashion myths have been around since the dawn of fashion. Other times, they may seem like common sense, but the reality doesn’t always translate correctly. Let’s take a look at three common fashion myths.

1. You can’t wear white after Labor Day.

We’re not quite sure where this one originated, but it is certainly no longer true. In fact, many fashion lines come out with white dresses, jackets, and more that are extremely prevalent in the fall and winter months each year. Just because it’s after Labor Day doesn’t mean you have to pass up that jacket you found! Pull out your Reach prepaid card, and get ready to dress in white.

2. Black is always slimming.

While black generally has a slimming effect, a piece of clothing is not always necessarily the best choice, simply because it is black. You also need to take into account the cut and style of the fabric. Consider what you are pairing the outfit with, as well. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you will certainly look great because the fabric is black.

3. Fit doesn’t matter

This is most definitely not true. No one should be seen as needing to wear baggy or tight clothes, simply because of their body type. In fact, people should find clothes that fit them, and stick with that. A good fit will do wonders for any body type.

Mix It Up A Little When it Comes To Prints and Solids

Open the door to your closet and take a look around. Do you notice anything? Is it a great big mash up of all different styles, colors, and patterns or do you see way too much of one particular thing? Many times women find something that they like and they continue to buy the same type of thing over and over again. For functional items, like work clothes, this might be a good idea. Within your closet you need to have a healthy mix of solids along with prints and patterns. This gives you more options when it comes to pairing pieces together. Jewelry is another way to add something extra to your solids. Your little black dress that works for so many different occasions can be styled with all different colors and patterns of jewelry to draw attention to you. A patterned jacket would look amazing when it reveals something solid underneath. Don’t be afraid to play with patterns and prints. If you aren’t sure whether or not two things go together, try them on and look in the mirror. As you look the outfit over, consider whether you like it or not and whether it stretches you out of your comfort zone.

Seasonal Fashion Looks For Year Round Style

Seasons inspire the change in style for winter, fall, spring and summer, but if you lack the budget to constantly be changing your wardrobe, you could be stuck in a dilemma of how to look stylish year round without breaking your bank. Here are a few ways to stay classy and in style, year round.

Necessary items include: A white Oxford blouse, Solid colored tanks, cammi’s and t-shirts, denim jacket, Khaki pants, and a pair of jeans that fit perfectly and are comfortable no matter what season it is.

Keep your creativity in mind when pairing accessories with your wardrobe, as many accessories can be deemed seasonal or a trend. loop strands of pearls and small silver pieces look good no mater what time of the year. If you’re wearing an all black outfit to work, or grey, add color to brighten up your outfit and add some flare. Buying a few new key pieces that can be recycled through-out the year is a good investment. Putting money into things like Purses or a pair of fabulous heels or pumps can make a great add to your wardrobe, and add something new to your look as well.

The Best Designers of Fashion Week 2011

Here are a few of the designers that were considered the best of the best and are at the top of the fashion designing pack.

Oscar de la Renta offers a classically feminine look that never grows old and needs no trends to model after. Ruffles, lacey looks and printed dresses were also a clear favorite of his works, with many celebrities having boasted of wearing at least one piece of his careful work.

Many people have heard the name Calvin Klein, and Fashion week was no different. Calvin offered many classic whites in suits and dresses that offered a chic but minimalistic style to his line of work. He also had several bright, bold colors, not to be left out of the color trend with severe minimal looks that seemed to be a crowd favorite.

Ralph Lauren is also a popular designer and for spring this year, his look seems to be inspired by the wild west era and cowgirl fashion. Creamy colors with lace and fringes were a staple of his palliate, but he also made sure to include a few eastern looks with beads, skinny pants and poet blouses.

Proenza Schouler’s designs were all about uptown chic. Ladylike styles in tweed jackets and above the knee skirts started their line off,with breezy skirts, pastel colored blouses and button down jackets offering a diversity to the spring look. Another designer to embrace the color trend, they offered coats in several different shades, the most eye catching being a salmon pink.

Michael Kors was another fan favorite, his style mainly Californian laid back whites, though offering classic shapes, he stuck to the pastel trend and offered cool colors which was different from his bold colored designer counter-parts. Though he did add a splash of color when it came to his drape dresses, many in fuchsia pink and lemon yellow, the brightest spot in his normally cool-toned line.

Whatever designer you choose to favor, many this spring are offering  bright colors, embracing the sunny feeling of spring and pushing back drab darker colors of winter.
